How this Chopsticks frontend preview works today, what it stores, and what is still to come before a live service.
This is a frontend preview.
These notes describe the current demo. They are not finalized terms for a paid or production service. Before launch, a real operator, contact details, services, and any payment arrangements need to be identified and reflected here.
01 / PAYMENTS
Refunds
Chopsticks does not sell subscriptions, charge fees, or process payments in this preview. There is no purchase to refund.
If payment features are introduced later, the applicable prices, cancellation rules, and refund terms should be published before a user pays. Any rights that apply under local law would need to be reflected in those live terms.
02 / USING CHOPSTICKS
Terms of use
This preview lets you explore film crafts, fictional roles and profiles, and a local demo workspace. Its people, studios, projects, compensation figures, and availability are examples. Browsing or clicking an example role does not create a real application or employment relationship.
Demo sign-in does not verify identity. The Google option is a demonstration and does not connect to a Google account. No hiring team receives applications or messages from this preview. Please use sample information and do not enter a real password or sensitive details.
Use the site respectfully and only for lawful purposes. A production version will need its own complete terms covering accounts, user content, moderation, payments if any, and dispute handling.
03 / PERSONAL INFORMATION
Privacy
The demo profile asks for a name, craft, country, and whether you are here to work or hire. These fields are saved in this browser so your preview workspace can reappear on your next visit. The demo sign-in form may ask for an email and password, but this frontend does not save or send those values for authentication. There is no connected Google sign-in, email service, or hiring backend.
The application code does not send demo profile, saved roles, application choices, or connection choices to a Chopsticks backend. Like any hosted website, the eventual hosting provider may process ordinary page requests; its arrangements must be documented before a production launch.
A live privacy notice will need the operator’s legal identity and contact information, the purposes and lawful grounds for any processing, retention periods, recipients, international transfer details where relevant, and ways to exercise applicable privacy rights.
04 / BROWSER STORAGE
Data policy
This preview uses browser local storage for four preferences or demo features:
Demo workspace: name, craft, country, work or hire choice, and IDs for saved example roles, demo applications, and demo connections.
Language: the selected English, Hindi, French, or German interface preference.
Theme: the selected light or dark appearance.
Channel Partners: the last country selected in the directory.
Application notes, email addresses, and passwords are not kept in this local demo state. You can clear demo workspace data from the profile tab in your workspace. You can remove all locally stored Chopsticks data through your browser’s site data settings. Browser storage is specific to the device and browser you use.
The career application preview keeps answers in the form only while that page is open. It does not submit or save them. Please do not use it to send a real application.
If you clear that data, the preview cannot restore it. A live version will require a separate policy for actual accounts and server-side information.
