The audition is a conversation.

Learn what the scene asks of the character and what changes between its first and last line. Then make a clear choice. You do not have to predict the exact performance someone else has imagined; you need a point of view you can explore together.

Give yourself a simple routine before you enter. Read the material, note any questions, and leave enough room to listen. If a director asks for a different take, treat it as new information about the story rather than a verdict on the first one.

Afterward, record what you learned and let the result go. One audition is one meeting. The work you do preparing, adapting, and responding stays with you for the next one.
